Cookie Policy

Last Updated: March 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how 38Hub ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit and use our platform. We believe in transparency and want you to understand exactly what technologies we use and why. The short version: we only use essential cookies required to keep the Service functioning — nothing more.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website operators. Cookies can be "session cookies" that are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent cookies" that remain on your device for a set period of time or until you delete them manually.

In addition to traditional cookies, websites may also use similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage (collectively referred to as "web storage"), which allow websites to store small amounts of data in your browser. Unlike cookies, web storage data is not sent to the server with every request, making it more efficient for storing client-side preferences. Throughout this policy, when we refer to "cookies," we include these similar technologies unless otherwise specified.

Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services embedded in the website ("third-party cookies"). First-party cookies are generally used for essential functionality, while third-party cookies are often used for analytics and advertising. 38Hub only uses first-party, essential cookies as described below.

2. How We Use Cookies

38Hub uses only essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the Service. We do not use any optional, non-essential, or preference-tracking cookies. Below is a complete list of the cookies and web storage items used by 38Hub:

NameTypePurposeDuration
sb-*-auth-tokenCookieSupabase authentication session token. Required to keep you logged in securely.Session / 7 days
sb-*-auth-token-code-verifierCookiePKCE code verifier for secure OAuth authentication flow.Session
themelocalStorageStores your theme preference (dark/light mode) so it persists across visits.Persistent

The authentication cookies are set by Supabase Auth, our authentication provider, and are essential for maintaining your login session. These cookies are HTTP-only and secure, meaning they cannot be accessed by JavaScript and are only transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Without these cookies, you would need to log in again every time you visit the Service.

The theme preference is stored in your browser's localStorage, which means it never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers. It simply remembers whether you prefer dark or light mode so the Service can display the correct theme immediately when you visit.

3. Third-Party Cookies

38Hub does not use any third-party cookies. We do not embed third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude), advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or any other third-party scripts that set cookies on your device. We believe your browsing behavior is your own business, and we have no interest in tracking it.

When you use AI features within 38Hub, your content is sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic or OpenAI) via server-side API calls. These API calls are made from our servers, not from your browser, which means these providers do not set any cookies on your device and cannot track your browsing activity. The AI providers only receive the specific content you choose to process, and they do not have access to your session, browsing history, or any other information about your use of 38Hub.

If we ever introduce third-party cookies or tracking technologies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy in advance and provide appropriate notice. We will also implement a cookie consent mechanism that gives you control over which non-essential cookies, if any, you wish to accept.

4. Managing Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find cookie management options in your browser's "Settings," "Privacy," or "Security" section. You can choose to block all cookies, accept all cookies, or selectively manage cookies on a per-site basis. You can also delete existing cookies from your browser at any time.

Please note that if you block or delete the essential authentication cookies used by 38Hub, you will be logged out of the Service and will need to sign in again. Since we only use essential cookies, blocking them will affect the basic functionality of the Service. Clearing your browser's localStorage will reset your theme preference to the default.

For more information about managing cookies in specific browsers, please visit your browser's help documentation. Common browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge, each of which provides detailed instructions for managing cookies and site data.
