Importing Ideas from PDFs

PDF Import

One of 38Hub's most powerful features — drop a PDF and get a dozen scored ideas in seconds.

How It Works

  1. Go to Sources from the sidebar
  2. Click "Upload PDF"
  3. Select or drag-drop a PDF file (max 20MB)
  4. AI reads the document and extracts up to 10-20 distinct content ideas
  5. Each idea gets a title, description, category, and AI score
  6. All extracted ideas appear in your Inbox under"From Sources"

What Makes Good Source PDFs

  • Research papers and reports — full of data points and insights
  • Books and ebooks — each chapter can spawn multiple ideas
  • Meeting notes and transcripts — conversations often contain hidden content gold
  • Course materials — educational content is easy to repurpose
  • Industry whitepapers — trends and analysis that your audience cares about

Tips

  • The AI reads up to 15,000 characters from the PDF, so longer documents get truncated. For best results, use focused documents rather than 200-page books.
  • Set up your Content DNA first — the AI will extract ideas that match YOUR content pillars, not generic topics.
  • Review and edit extracted ideas — AI is great at finding topics but you know your audience best.
