Using Face References for Consistent Thumbnails

Face References

Upload photos of yourself so the AI can include your face in thumbnails consistently. This is especially useful for YouTubers who appear in their own thumbnails.

Adding Face References

  1. Go to Settings (or the Thumbnail Designer's face panel)
  2. Click "Add Face Reference"
  3. Upload a clear photo of your face (PNG, JPEG, or WebP, under 5MB)
  4. Add an optional label (e.g.,"Front view","Side angle")
  5. Upload 3-5 different photos for best results (different angles, expressions)

Using Face References in Thumbnails

When creating a thumbnail, check the"Face References" toggle and select which photos to include. The AI uses these to create a thumbnail that looks like you.

Tips

  • Variety helps: Upload frontal, 3/4 angle, and side views
  • Good lighting: Well-lit photos with clear facial features work best
  • Different expressions: Happy, surprised, serious — gives AI more to work with
  • Max 5 per generation: You can upload many, but only 5 can be used per thumbnail generation
