Smart Cook: Research & Enrich Your First Idea

Getting Started
4 min read

From Idea to Enriched Brief

"Cooking" in 38Hub means researching and enriching your idea with AI before you produce content. Smart Cook analyzes your idea, identifies strengths and weaknesses, suggests angles, and optionally runs web research for supporting facts and data.

Prerequisites

  • At least one approved idea in your Inbox

Step-by-Step

  1. Go to Idea Kitchen from the sidebar (or click"Cook" on any approved idea)
  2. You'll see all your approved ideas — click on one to open it
  3. Click "Cook This Idea"
  4. AI runs a two-pass analysis:
    • Pass 1 — Analysis: Scores the idea, identifies strengths, weaknesses, suggested angles, audience insight, urgency, and Content DNA fit
    • Pass 2 — Research (automatic, when needed): If AI determines research would improve the idea, it searches the web for supporting facts, data points, and sources
  5. Review the Cooked Brief — a structured research document with everything you need to produce great content
  6. Add your own User Notes to the brief (auto-saved)
  7. Click any tool in the "Now Produce With" section to take the enriched idea into production (Social Posts, Carousels, Scripts, Thumbnails, Captions)

What's in a Cooked Brief?

  • Score — AI rates your idea 1-10 with detailed analysis
  • Strengths & Weaknesses — What makes this idea strong and what to watch out for
  • Suggested Angles — 3-5 different angles with hooks and descriptions
  • Audience Insight — How your target audience would receive this idea
  • Urgency — Trending, Timely, or Evergreen
  • Content DNA Fit — How well this idea matches your brand identity
  • Key Facts — Real data and facts from web research (when research runs)
  • Sources — Linked references with snippets (when research runs)

Tips for Better Results

  • Write detailed idea descriptions — the more context you give, the richer the brief
  • Set up Content DNA — Smart Cook uses your brand profile to personalize analysis
  • Use the brief as context — when you produce content (posts, scripts, etc.), the enriched brief makes the output significantly better
